The Power to Freeze
BEKO
Embracing the concept of alchemy, where particles evoke a sense of magic and ancient elements, we explored a world where a single particle can transform into millions. The sky's the limit when particles are the core concept—they fluidly morph from everyday objects to abstract representations of data. The style and technique remain grounded even as the particles continually evolve, taking a journey from their initial movement to radical explosions. The technical challenge was ensuring these particles could seamlessly transform from one form to another while maintaining an exact count.
Beko’s solar chest freezer is powered by the sun, so we envisioned a scene where the sun rises over the African landscape, bringing its heat to the day—but with a twist: the world freezes instead of warming. This project was a masterclass in subtle yet powerful storytelling.
We seized the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of ice and the intricate, complex freezing process in its various forms. To achieve flawless photorealism, we considered integrating live action but ultimately chose to create everything from scratch in CGI. This decision gave us full creative control for interesting camera transitions and perfect integration with nature. The project allowed us to showcase both expansive scenes and microcosmic details, highlighting our versatility and attention to detail.
