Embracing the concept of alchemy, where particles evoke a sense of magic and ancient elements, we explored a world where a single particle can transform into millions. The sky's the limit when particles are the core concept—they fluidly morph from everyday objects to abstract representations of data. The style and technique remain grounded even as the particles continually evolve, taking a journey from their initial movement to radical explosions. The technical challenge was ensuring these particles could seamlessly transform from one form to another while maintaining an exact count.

This project tells the touching story of an everyday South African man, deeply committed to caring for his family. His "day in the life" portrayal allows viewers to connect with his heartfelt journey on a personal level.

The visual style alternates between rich, photo-journalistic imagery and direct-to-camera portraits of each family member. These portraits serve as chapter markers, adding a quirky touch to the narrative flow. Close-up cutaways with a shallow depth of field amplify the emotional intensity, while the use of black-and-white, old-school reportage and portrait photography techniques give the story a timeless, poignant feel.
