Embracing the concept of alchemy, where particles evoke a sense of magic and ancient elements, we explored a world where a single particle can transform into millions. The sky's the limit when particles are the core concept—they fluidly morph from everyday objects to abstract representations of data. The style and technique remain grounded even as the particles continually evolve, taking a journey from their initial movement to radical explosions. The technical challenge was ensuring these particles could seamlessly transform from one form to another while maintaining an exact count.

What an apt time to use the frozen moment technique, capturing the essence of how our lives were put on hold during the pandemic. We were tasked with conveying this frozen-in-time feeling through various everyday scenarios, representing dreams on pause. This project was as much about VFX as it was about live action.

It felt surreal to set up a large film production only to have the talent remain as still as possible. Initially envisioned as a stills and 2.5D compositing project, it evolved into a full-scale shoot to achieve the most technically realistic results. This allowed for more fluid camera movement around the talent than stills could provide, enhancing the overall impact and realism of the frozen moments.
